Assassin's Creed Reveals Unexpected Attack on Titan Collaboration for Thanksgiving
In a unexpected collaboration that defies usual expectations, Ubisoft has unveiled an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Questline Disclosed
According to the official announcement, "A strange confrontation draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where hints of prohibited ceremonies and fearsome transformations resonate through the shadows." The plot introduces a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a secret cult.
The mission centers on "strange experiments and a terrifying enemy" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Settings and Transformations
The preview features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer concludes with a striking sequence showing a character, presumably the captive, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Prizes and Bonus Features
Players who finish the quest will acquire an special katana alongside multiple objects concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:
